Cellal Resort Florida - 2 new coasters confimed for season 4!

Season 1, Update 1

Hello, my name is Paul Davis. I'm a massive theme park fan so I moved to Florida in 1999. Back then there was a small amusement park named Green Waters Amusement Park. It had a small selection of rides but the lack of themeing was a real downfall. The park closed its gates in 2004 never to be opened again...

However, No one could have guessed what would happen next. On the 8th June 2005, Cellal Entertainments confirmed that they now owned Green Waters Amusement Park. Over the past six years GWAP was transformed into a theme park and resort. The park would open as Cellal's World Voyage Park at Cellal Resort Florida.

CWVP would open to the public in November 2011 with its 2 coasters, a stack of new and old flats and 4 themed areas. Port Cellal, Backlot City, Eastern Place and Alpinevainia, as well as a 3* hotel.

Over the next few updates I will be showing you the resort, bit by bit so enjoy your read...

We start our journey at the entrance of Cellal's World Voyage Park.



On the left you can see the Ticket Office and ahead you see the turn style building.



The first thing you see upon entering the park is the persevered Carousel from the Green Water days. Everyone starts their voyage in Port Cellal, so that’s the area we are touring today.



Its little touches like this pond that make this place special in my opinion.



The area has lots of shops and cafes... AND A SHARK!



You can’t go on a voyage without a boat! The parks centre piece and the parks only theatre.



The only coaster Cellal installed is this Intamin Zac-Spin call AquaBall, it looks like so much fun!

Nice! I'm guessing there are other coasters besides AquaBall. I could see one in the background of the first picture. I will be following this park for sure. Nice job so far!

Season 1, Update 2 (Backlot City)

Today we are in Backlot City. Themed to a city (duh). The area has 3 rides. Over Turn which is a unique flat ride, I don't know too much about it but it sure is great fun! The second is my favourite type of flat ride. A Fire Ball called Crime Wave. There is also a Disko Coaster that is themed to the cities skate park. It is named Half Pipe. Crime Wave was inherrited from Green Waters Amsument Park but Over Turn and Half Pipe are both Cellal introductions.



The first thing that you get to when entering BC is a hot dog stand called Backlot Treats. The prices aren't too bad neither!



I can only ever ride Over Turn once in a row (It's the one in the foreground)



Crime Wave flies high and proud above the city.



Half Pipe is being great for families!



There is already construction for the parks new ride for season 2, no news on it though.

Next update we will be exploring Eastern Place.

Season 1, Update 3

Today we are in one of Cellal's most memorable areas, Eastern Place. The area may only have 2 rides but the themeing makes up for that! The area is home to a magic carpet called Magic and the dominator of the park Aziza, a B&M stand up.



Welcome to Eastern Place.



Even the midway games have lots of themeing!



Magic is a popular ride. Both Aziza and Magic where spared from Green Water Amusement Park. They were both unthemed though.



Aziza is the parks star attraction, and by far the world’s best stand up coaster! It has 3 inversions (a loop and interlocking corkscrews) It has been running with new trains since Cellal took over and now it's as smooth as any other B&M.

Only one area of the park left, Alpinvainia!

Hello again,

Today we are exploring the smallest area of the park, Alpinevainia! This land is more of a memorial of the now closed park Cellal's Alpinvainia, Cellals first park! The area only has 3 things, A Ferris wheel, A toilet (a block, not just one ) and a few Facades.

Season 1 - Update 5

Hello, I noticed a few teasers on Cellal's website today. It seems that not only will World Voyage get a new ride; a new park will open for season 2. Cellal's first resort is indeed starting to take shape and may even be as big a Universal or Disney one day!







Those concept art pictures are actually very out of date apparently. Season 2 starts in a few months. I should have an update from WVP later this week.

Season 1 - Update 6

This is my last update of the season but don't worry, I'll be back. Me and my mates rented out a room in one of the resorts hotels, Hotel Proderoso.



A photo taken last night as we arrived at the hotel.

Here is the view of the pool from the cafe's 360 degree balcony.



There is a definite change in the sky line; Skyscraper (the drop tower) will open with the park in a few months time after a small closed season.



We headed straight for Aziza which is my favourite coaster in the park. It's actually quite bearable for a stand up.



We then rode Crime Wave over and over again until in was lunch time, it's the best ride in the park.



We grabbed a bite to eat at The Cuppa Cafe next to the park entrance, as hotel guests, you get money off at all the parks eateries.



We let our lunch go down with a ride on the Ferris Wheel.



Then we waited an hour for AquaBall, worth every second though, such a fun ride!



We rode Half Pipe before calling it a day and heading back to our hotel room.



Bye Bye Cellal's World Voyage Park!



A final view from our hotel's pool, I shall be showing you the resorts hotels over the closed season so stick around.

Closed Season 1 - Update 1

Today I was driving past the park when I thought I should have a look around. I visited the resorts latest hotel, Camping Corner Motel. It's the cheapest of all the resorts hotels and is built right under the wooden coaster from CTWP.

The normal hunts (pictured) Offer a double bed, sofa bed, TV and an en suit.
The deluxe huts have a double bed, a signal bed and a sofa bed, a large TV and bathrooms as well as a small kitchen.



The pool was really crowded for some reason.



There's a volleyball court.



All the hotels at the resort have allocated cafes where residence can have a free breakfast. Since CCM is a really small site, there is no room for an onsite cafe so it shares the one in the entrance plaza of Time Warp Park (Brunch Munch Cafe). So technically, it's the first thing in TWP to open.

This park is really creative! Just one question, for the pool, how did you get rid of that metal railing the game puts around the pool. Did you just cover it up with that concrete-like fence or is it some kind of custom scenery?

BTH I have no idea, I was playing around with my setting and it just went like that lol.

Technical Rehearsals

The park invited all of its hotel guests to visit Time Warp Park to see how it would cope while it was open. Here’s a photo park management posted on Face Book late last night.



They were also nice enough to treat us to a full ride list and the areas of the park they are in.

Opening day - WVP - Season 2

World Voyage Park reopened today after 2 months Time Warp Park will open in a week so Cellal fans can go to both parks opening days.



New this year, Cellal have introduced Early Ride Time to all their parks. The rides change day to day. Aziza is first on my ‘to do’ list.



Aziza was walk on for the full hour of ERT. Win!



I have missed this so much. I spent most of the ERT riding it.



I just had time to do Magic ERT before making my way over for my first ride on Skyscraper.



A queue had already started building.
